At Killhope we want you to interact with the site and with the handling collection. You can play on the washing floor finding minerals in the same way as a Victorian boy, bashing rocks or using old fashioned tools, follow the same journey as the water from the reservoir to it's exit off site, try on some Victorian style clothes, explore the mineshop and play games once played by the miners.
As part of your walk in the woods, take a Sam Squirrel Backpack .

Remember, for most of the events we supply all the materials - you just supply the imagination! There may be a small extra charge for workshops to cover costs.
We regret that children Under 4 can not go underground. Have a look at the diary of Alex who had a day out when he was just three and half years old, see what he got up to.
There is an outside playground for under 7s.
