Shop

Killhope is undergoing some improvement works on the visitor centre.  Due to the inclement weather during the start of 2010 this work is taking slightly longer than expected.  Please ring 01388 537 505 to clarify what parts of the Visitor Centre are open. The Shop and the cafe are fully open.

Admission to the cafe and shop is free - so if you're just passing why not pop in and have a look around.

Killhope's shop, lots of books and gifts

Killhope's shop has an array of gifts, souvenirs, jewellery and books, suitable for all pockets.

We pride ourselves that many gifts have been made by local crafts people, local suppliers, using local resources or using recycled materials or are in some way environmentally friendly.
As part of Killhope's commitment to the Green Tourism Business Scheme we have a ‘Killhope shop policy’, here is an extract.

"Shopping is part of the Killhope experience and should reflect our values of “managing Killhope as a quality tourism destination within the County and the North Pennines”.  Where available items should be recyclable or sustainable and when possible items will be locally sourced.  We will endeavour to positively promote local products.".
