I thoroughly enjoyed ourday out here. I saw a leaflet and decided it looked interesting so we came.
From the road looking down I thought to myself this is going to take 5 mins to look around (doesn't look very big from roadside) but we were there a good 4-5hours!
The mine trip was brilliant and before we knew it an hour had passed. The staff are all really friendly and helpful.
I especially enjoyed looking for stones/crystals and could have stayed there all day.
I would definately recommend it to people a great day out for everyone not just for children! Even the older kids amongst us (26 and 28 years young!)

Hello We paid you a visit last week and I would like to say what a brilliant day wehad. We all enjoyed every bit and all the guides were very nice. Your Cafe is brill and I recommend you to anyone that is visiting your area. Hopefully we will visit again.

Visited in late July - been before but it's always good. New pricing means you pay once and your ticket is valid for a year -excellent value. Didn't bother with the trip down the mine - been there, done that - the sun made a rare appearance so we didn't want to miss it !! Found lots of galena and other pretty stones, spoke to the pigs, did the wildlife walk and managed to see one red squirrel - he spotted us and ran off. Picnic in the sun, few goodies from the gift shop - lovely day out.

Just wanted to say a big thanks for a great day at Killhope. Not only was it a hugely interesting experience but we thought the staff and guides were superb, enthusiastic,welcoming and informative. The mine tour was well thought out and we learnt a lot, not least that we are glad that we never had to work down there. The cafe was a welcome diversion and the home made fare was excellent - in fact if we could get your scones by post we would have a life time order. Once again, agreat day, excellent value what more can we say - we'll be back!
