Mad Alice Theatre Company presents a wonderful new play for children with music & storytelling and plenty of opportunity for audience participation.
Inspired by the much loved nonsense verse, poetry & songs of such Greats as Edward Lear, The Incredible String Band, Lewis Carroll, Roald Dahl and Ivor Cutler.
It tells the story of an eccentric lady, Gertie, who meets an equally absurd ukulele playing scarecrow, George, on her way to the supermarket and the frolicking foray of folly and fun that ensues!
Enjoy their encounters with a friendly ‘Porcupine’, join them in a dance with ‘The Man in The Moon’ and share in a slice of ‘Frivolous Cake’.
Watch as our story unfolds and whilst “Little Clouds” pass by who knows maybe George and Gertie whilst “Busy Doing Nothing” will discover a deeper sense than everyday sense in the purely funny & surreal!
Highly interactive, educational and great fun! Wonderful entertainment!
Suitable for ages 7-12 years.
Tickets: £4.00 per child. Usual museum entry fee applies and all children must be accompanied by an adult.
No need to book.
