Killhope was awarded a Gold in the Green Tourism Business Scheme in 2007.
Also in 2007 Killhope won gold for Sustainable Tourism at the One North East Tourism Awards. Following on from this success, in 2008 Killhope is working in partnership with North Pennines Peatscapes Project. Killhope will be able to offer our visitors the ability to offset their carbon - from their travel to Killhope by making a donation to the project. For a car it is 4p a mile - Just ask at the desk when you come in - tell them your milages and we'll do the calculation.
