Where better to enjoy this stargazing event than under the dark skies of the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty at Killhope?
Join us on 12 August for a night of stargazing. You might be able to see up to 70 shooting stars an hour*…
There will be water rockets to launch, space themed workshops and music from the Cream Tees; as well as, projected astronomical images.
The café will be open so you can grab a bite to eat before settling down for an ‘out of this world’ evening!
Bring your deck chair and a blanket, lie back and enjoy the spectacle in amazing surroundings.
Feel free to bring telescopes and binoculars and talk to experts who will be on hand to help guide you through the night sky.
This event is the launch of the 2018 North Pennines Stargazing Festival – where it will whet your appetite for the main festival running 20 October to 4 November.
